Lost

Lost

A Poem by Giovanna

Lipstick stains on an empty bottle.

She tried to search for herself and only lost the battle.

Searching for something that’s no longer there.

She wasn’t aware that the person she fought for wouldn’t care.

She wasn’t aware that loving someone more than loving yourself would turn her insane.

He didn’t care for the war running through her veins and into her brain.

Hi, Giovanni 🌸
How beautifully you write, how deeply and passionately, too.
The emotion flowing throughout your lines, your rhymes and rhythmic flow, the vivid imagery of confusion and pain is palpable … I can nearly hear you breathing, feel your warm breath as your pen scribes across the page, releasing thoughts and feelings from your heart and mind.

This is as sad as unrequited love can be, and the saddest part is that to have it all one has to give it all willingly and completely, knowing tat in love there are promises, but something inside drives us to try our best in what we believe-in and to never give-up.

I love this, Giovanna, for the embrace of its realness … thank You! ⁓ Ricgard 🍃
