Summer Light Through Winter's WindowA Poem by Tom FloatThe magic of nature was the muse of this short free verse poem. Written on a very early train ride quite a number of years ago.
Fierce gold and worldly warmth beyond my frozen
Absolute moves fast and mute, and in perfect magnificent square. A stationary motion and constant clack, all white, forever absent Night only conceivable by its soaking of the leaves, glistening In the summer light Half extended arm held strong by feeble grip to leave the Scentless heather blinking in constant for still it waits the touch. Full flight life in ruby skies and emerald shrubs in silent waltz call the Gods In laughter rich in its accompanying noiselessness, Which resonate around the panes of season.
