Parents Who Care

Parents Who Care

A Poem by Autumn T.
"

Really my father doesn't do this, and my mom and I don't fight often. But I like it, and it kind of just flowed out of my pen. So, yeah, enjoy. ^.^

"
The dance continues
Our lives spin round.
I slam my door
You don't make a sound.

You look on
Your face in distress.
And you wonder why
You love me nevertheless.

I'll tell you why
Why we're so much.
Because you're my parents
You are my crutch.

I sit alone and
I wonder why
I am still here
Unable to fly.

You knock softly
Say can I come in.
My face in the pillow
I try not to grin.

For this means you're there
When times get bad.
Forever and always
My mom and my dad.

This is a very touching and well written poem. I'm sorry to hear your dad doesn't do this for you. That is unfortunate.
