I Was FineA Poem by Autumn T.Just a kind of sad poem. But hey, do I have many poems that AREN'T sad?
I was fine.
All the laces were tied tight The shoestrings pulled to knots And the buckles locked in tight. I was fine. I was holding myself together The glue was holding up Duct tape hadn’t failed yet. I was fine. All the walls around were soundproof, My vest deflected bullets then, The city gates were holding firm. I was fine. Until you pulled the shoestring, Peeled off the tape, And knocked down the walls. I was fine until you asked me what was wrong. © 2011 Autumn T.Author's Note
