This dark room
A Poem by Autumn T.
Another result of the third sleepless night in a row.
The chains squeezed my wrists
The blood stained my arms
The rain dampened my wings
Stuck in this dark room
Can't help but to cry
Than to say a final good bye
My walls are bleak, They no longer shine
My heart's no longer mine
Lost to the sorrow I can't seem to get rid of
If only I could find the light of your love
The light is gone, the bulbs all shattered
Nothing no longer matters
No one will come near
All I can think about was what I lost dear
An innocence forgotten by the awakening of reality
Wondering what in the world has happened to me
To the words that cry out this pain
Small beams leak out like acid rain
Still dark, still searching for the light
For now I hide in this dark room
Hoping and praying to get out soon
