You stayed

You stayed

A Poem by Flower

When I saw you, my heart started to beat faster,

I knew this would end up being a disaster,

My words were slurred, and I could hardly speak,

I could see the redness in my cheeks,

How long do I have 'till you leave?

I was so very naive,

Because soon you'll be gone,

You I depend on,

But I can see,

You'll be free,

From me,

You plea,

But you stayed,

My love won't fade,

Oh, I am so glad,

Perhaps I'm not so sad,

For you saved me from myself,

My feelings stacked on a bookshelf,

So maybe I won't give up so soon,

And from happiness, I won't be so immune,

So, thank you kind sir, for saying that you care,

I'm always incredibly happy when you're there.
