Forgotten dreams

Forgotten dreams

A Poem by Flower

My dreams have forgotten and surpassed me,
I used to keep myself awake at night,
Thinking of what I had wanted to be,
But, everything back then, was quite all right.

Now my nightmares keep me up in the dark,
They contain worries and doubts that I own,
In my head, each creates a single spark,
Fueling fires that leave me all alone.

I question whether those dreams will find me,
I'd probably panic and run away,
For whom was once filled with hope, trust and glee,
Is now just a useless, human, delay.

Oh, my many lost and forgotten dreams,
Will I continue to try and find you?
For I'm tired if all the water that streams,
Down my very tearful face, I am through.
