arrogant

arrogant

A Poem by Kira

"one day you'll regret what you've lost

and you'd do anything to get me back.

and when you do,

i'll laugh and say no."

just want the pain to end;

you were the only one i ever wanted.

"one day you'll get down

on your knees, begging.

me and my friends

will find it hilarious."

arrogance is seeing little friendly gestures

but processing flirting, crushes, love.

"one day, when i'm rich and famous,

you'll fall all over yourself to say you knew me.

when the paparazzi ask me about you,

i'll say 'who?' and smile."

rule #1:

if you think someone likes you, you're wrong.

Author's Note

Kira
apparently i have issues with thinking nobody could ever like me. what's wrong with being self-deprecating when it's true?

This poem is so true. :/ And to your author's note, there's nothing wrong with being self-deprecating if it's true. At least in high school. *le sigh* My life... But anyway, nice poem, I liked how the stanzas read. :)
