a formspring question: the qualities of my ideal boyfriend. so i described you.

i was asked today what kind of

qualities my ideal boyfriend

would have. 

it was too easy to imagine.

blue eyes

taller and older than me

(too old, some would say.)

a total nerd

funny,

with a dirty mind

and an affinity for tickling.

part masochistic,

his only fault being

that he loves the wrong people

and loves them too much.

a guy who quotes

monty python, princess bride

and spaceballs

and introduces me

to sci-fi shows

and knows how to drive

a stick-shift (and will, if pressed,

try it one-handed.)

a guy who understands

what i really want:

plastic roses, oreo cookies

and candles i'll never light.

a guy with bad teeth

who plays the bass in orchestra

who will pick me up

and swing me around

if i ask him to.

a guy who will drive me home

with his other arm around me,

who will kiss me even though

i'm sure i'd screw it up,

who is still a teenager

and will get distracted

when i'm eating whipped cream.

a guy with green hair

in his yearbook picture,

who knows basic German,

who will get into real-life poke wars

with me often,

for no reason at all.

give me a guy who is unlike

anyone else i've ever known.

 

but where will i find someone like that?

*laughs* this is sweet and very poetic, you may not find a guy with green hair but finding one that cares is a realistic aspiration.
