hear you scream

blink at the ceiling and wait for the dawn

rage at the thoughts that won't let you move on

pulse is beyond you, the dark is a beast

cut at the bad thoughts and strain for the east

break all the chains though new ones still appear

hate in your mind for the unbidden tear

sink teeth in skin to keep voices inside

but your thoughts are the one place you can't hide

fall on your knees, mouth is covered in tape

your own brain rebels and condones this mind rape

there you are trussed, hope to god it's a dream

for in your thoughts, no one can hear you scream.

Ah just another sunny day in Kira's world :) I liked this, I imagined the experience of a patient in a mental health facility (one that was dark, filled with crazy doc's and electrotherapy). I like your work because I dont have to struggle with the imagery even if it is not the imagery you intend. My only "critque" is one of my fav lines :but your thoughts" the tempo (?) seemed off even though it was the right number of sylables(sp)...I dont know why it felt that way...any way great poem...love your work
