Web of Lies

Web of Lies

A Poem by FlamingPhoenix
"

Playing a player...

"
The spider patiently bides it's time

In a game it plays with a tasty fly

I see through your pitiful disguise

As I have bitten you and you are paralyzed

You seek to hide in a web of lies

Forgetting truth in our moments of paradise

I'm not looking for love or desire ties

You need no help in destroying lives

Caught in my webbing of perfect size

As I devour you the truth you will realize

The player is me yet I committed no crime

Honesty brings chaos for the trapped fly

Me - ow. Your claws are starting to show dear. It's clear that your predilections give you such an advantage over the rest of us. This is a great piece of writing. It's a poem, it's a story, it's an admission and a warning depending on the readers position in the story.
Brill.
Again.

Flogging could be very satisfying if done right...at least that's what I have read...:)

I have wondered about this.
Now damn, I think you just hit the bullseye with this one. Lies and deceit... what a biatch. I hate liars and I hate people who deceive me or my friends.

Toying with your pray until death. The capture the lost hope the bite and then darkness.
Well played. Dark and intriguing.

The poem could be about the internet having several sides, "to be or not to be".

Your welcome
I loved the interplay between lies and truths; flies and webs in this poem. I was inspired to write this tiny gift poem for you which you may keep as your own:

Convenient Lie

Hungry spider spin your lie,
knit a flashy lullaby
for a tiny tasty fly,
show him webs that pacify.

Paralyze him, make him high
tie him down, and mummify.
Give him truth that drips him dry
cause he’s such a naive guy.

Phoenix, this is really imaginative. Thank you for the genius of using a spider and his/her web as a metaphor for a truly manipulative, destructive, lying person. It made me smile. Your mind is fascinating to read and study. Thank you for the small peek into your mental realm. Great write:)
