SonA Poem by FlamingPhoenixOde to my (not so little) boy
Oh my dear boy
How you love to annoy Quite frankly I'm glad you're nearly eighteen Because your messes are quite obscene Jelly left smeared on my kitchen counters and floors Mundane conversation has become a tedious bore You think you know everything And your dismissal of me leaves a sting Your ceaseless complaints of unfair rules Oh my what's in store after you graduate high school I hope you grow into a kind and hardworking man And with all that I've taught you, I know that you can Why must you be so much like me I hope you, much quicker than I, learn humility Life presents some cruel lessons at times Well it certainly has on this path of mine © 2014 FlamingPhoenixReviews
