Where once I lay in light of dawn
I now have found the shade
Where once love drew me, quiet, sweet,
The warmth begins to fade
Where once I slumbered peacefully
Content with life’s demands
Now I yearn for stranger shores
In undiscovered lands
I long for one to walk with me
On travels near and far
Leave comfort and security
And search for fallen stars
And in my quest I wonder if
I’ll find, before I die,
One who searches, as I search,
To look beyond the sky
Where once I lay in light of dawn
I’ve given it away
Traded love for journeying
And a new dawn every day
