The girl with the Summer Smile,
The wings of an angel,
A heart of gold

She graced us with her beauty,
Taught us with her heart,
Showed us things our eyes could not see

Yes, her words hurt,
But her words were also what mended us,
What held us together when our hearts were breaking

She was a sunflower,
She always brought smiles to our faces,
And now she brings tears to our eyes

On that fateful day,
The heavens received a gift they did not deserve,
And we lost a gift most dear to us

The girl with the Summer Smile,
Our beautiful sunflower,
Was plucked from our garden,
Just as she was beginning to bloom

Even so, she will never truly leave us,
She'll forever be in our hearts,
And forever on our mind
