Consanguineity

Consanguineity

A Poem by Robert Trakofler
"

Old theme new poem LOL at least I was finally able to finish one! Thank you for reading my scrawls:/

"
Consanguineity

when it becomes impossible,
to strike the lines between, what is lived
and what is penned.
when the ink and the blood
intertwine
from heart beat to stylus
insoluble is the grace
that pulses from
a grateful author
indelible, are the marks
of contented exhales
scrawled across
sublimities’ parchment
the signature is never mine
but rather,
the borrowed passages
of the myriad
brush strokes
that channeled
before me

It seems that you are an inspired poet, both from the great ones before you and that you yourself put your heart and blood into your writing and are very grateful for what you have accomplished….this is very deep and heartfelt…..and content.

The words we write are the same words used in all that has been written before. Like the water we drink is the same water that has rushed and rained on earth since the birth of our planet. But the molecules of each drink are ever so uniquely combined in amount and vessel. Embellished by our sweat or oxygenating our blood. Spilled all over that beautiful parchment by the ink of our intention. I'm glad to read you recycle ... language!

Dear RBB this is a perfect, resonant, transcendent description of your poet’s heart in your writing. Inspiration is a wellspring from deep within and is confluent with the very blood, like music, that keeps us alive- inseparable, Great language, imagery, flow, cadence, musicality and message. I love this write!

All I can say is thank you, dear Annette:) What a very kind review!
I have often wondered what is original anymore, is anything new or just a collection of words, phrases, thoughts and beliefs. Just as music, is there truly a combination of chords or keys or rifts that have not been played before. But then I think, yes, I have read others, I have heard others and I have learned from them and have used that gained knowledge to create my own style which in all truth, is totally unique to me. Nicely expressed sir.

We are grateful to have your writing, Bunny.
and again comes that question, does art imitate life or vice-versa?
a little of both I think.

I think about that a lot brother Jacob
So good Bunny to see a poem from you on my feed this morning. I have always believed that to write good poetry yourself you need to have read those who paved the way before us. We follow in their footsteps with our own shoes.

Bunny...after reading this poem I truly believe you write from your heart and from the red ink that seeps from it. Your stylus is truly dipped in the blood of your heartbeats. I love the spontaenity of your spirit and your poems.
