Cyber-bullied

Cyber-bullied

A Poem by scribblesandsuch

At home it’s safe,

That’s what they say,

But for them it’s just another way,

To tease me and hurt me,

To send me my tears,

To message new threats and mail me new fears,

They call me names, they all get rough,

Carrying on when I’ve had enough,

Hiding behind their anonymous names,

Saying their words, playing their games,

Breaking the rules, they’re always there,

On this screen at which I stare,

Sticks and stones may break my bones,

But words hurt, and won’t leave me alone,

There in my school,

There in my dreams,

Slowly tearing at my seams,

Running from them, running from words,

Memories will always be heard,

Crying alone, crying always,

Stuck in the endless victimizing maze,

Take the gun,

Count to ten,

Peace at last, bullied never again.
