A memory

A memory

A Poem by scribblesandsuch

What is a memory?

It is the whisper in your ear, the story in your mind,

The dark little fragment that no one will ever find,

It is the never-ending chase,

The thing you can’t escape,

Sweet dreams that suddenly turn,

While through your mind, memories burn,

Past and present are instantly one,

Remembrance has now begun,

Memories run wild and free,

Ignorant to every plea,

And they are always there.

Always.
