Suburban War Hero.

Suburban War Hero.

A Poem by Fitz

Everything is gonna be okay,

Everything will be set right,

Everything will be okay,

Because of you.

We walk down the street of war,

the bullets are flying,

the casualties rising.

But we walk.

Your hand rests in mine,

warms my icened heart,

it givens me immunity to the bullets.

And we walk.

The bullets get heavier,

the wounds more serious,

the day grows darker.

We do not stop.

I look into your eyes,

oh those eyes,

they brighten the day like no sun can ever hope to achieve.

And still we walk on.

The bullets become inescapable,

they are blinding,

defeaning.

Are we hit?
