Quiet acceptance

Quiet acceptance slithers through my body
This journey has brought me to my knees
Time and time again I have opened myself
up only to cut me bone deep over and over

Struggling to breathe as I step out
of my man made fantasy world, 
into this harsh reality.
1 foot in front of the other.. breathe...

I fall too the ground in pain that
slices straight through my already broken heart
I give in and beg for death to take me
A life without You is no life at all!

Pick myself up, dust myself off

Though it's killing me

I silently accept that I'll never be the
only one living in your heart
