The Accused

The Accused

A Poem by Firequeen

I lay stripped and bleeding on your dirty table of justice.
I beg for you to rip out my heart and stop this torture
Alas no reprieve this way comes
as you continue your assault on my soul
feeling dirty and exposed of all my wrong doings
all of the heavy injustice resting on my shoulders
Weary from this long and tiring journey
My broken and bruised heart and ego
Trying to find the strength to move on once again
Picking up the pieces
Finding myself again, only to find I am missing a piece
Struggling to find that which I have lost
Here I sit the accused, In my self made jail cell
built of my own injustices, my own wrong doings
While you hand down my lifeless sentence

We hand down our own lifeless sentences
by the actions we take. If we do the crime
surly we pay for it doing time..I enjoyed
this sullen melancholy piece... Well done...
