Darkness

My broken heart cries out for release
beaten by my own short comings
Failure pours over my weary soul
I struggle to breathe through my tears
My repeated warnings unheard
Dark creeps in once again
My walls I will build higher this time
To protect others from me as well
I find comfort in these shadows
Into the darkness within I shall sink
