Brick by Brick

Brick by Brick

A Poem by Firequeen

Hatred builds in like water in a well
My blood begins to boil
Red clouds my vision

The room around me goes ice cold
I close my eyes against the spinning
as life yet deals me another harsh blow

A brick here and a brick there for my tears
that you have so easily watched spill
all the while laughing at my pain

A brick here and a brick there for the heart
You so easily broke in to pieces
within a matter of seconds

Brick by brick
I try to build these walls back up
as I try to protect whats left of me
