Bump In the nightA Poem by FirequeenThe inspiration from this came from the fear of ghosts or demons the word daimonophobia was a prompt given for the writes inspiration
I can hear it scratching and
clawing the ceiling above me. a chill runs down my spine as I realize its been awakened again. any minute now I will hear its shrill cries calling out to me strangling any voice left in me spreading fear through out my whole body. In the distance I can hear a thump as if its coming for me. I sit up pulling the covers tight against me as I try to figure out where it is now. Another scrap. Then a thump. Another bump. It screams out. I bury my head under the covers. cover my ears from the screams from the unknowns that come calling, and go bump in the deep of night © 2011 Firequeen |
