SolsticeA Poem by Andrea
Ever wondered about the feeling you get
when your heart melts and when a fire awakens? Ever dreamed of an enchantment so great where your feet flail and where your heart shakes? The ember of the core, the night of your life. The summer solstice; embrace you. The winter solstice; the morning dew. It awakens, it awakens. The fire and the flames. The ice and the cold. It awakens, it awakens. The ember and the blaze. The chill and the snow. Touch of gold, touch of gold. And when morning hits, the feeling is old. It's temporary. The feeling is only temporary. Solstice, come back, my heart is melting. My heart is melting. I want to feel so far away. I want to feel like I'm in outerspace. I'm an abstract. Out of place art. Take me away, one more time for the solstice. Run away, run away if you can't retrace. Solstice. Solstice. Solstice. Solstice. Embrace. Embrace. Where is my high again? Ordinary, ordinary. I'm only dull when I'm at my low. Temporary, temporary. I'm only great when I can glow. Solstiiice. Solstiice. Solstice. Solstiice. Solstiice. Solstice. You are my soul. On the contrary, contrary you're quite dreary, dear. But did you ever hear of the perks of being high? Well I guess you don't know if you're low. Solstice. Solstice. Solstice. Solstice. Give me wings where I can fly. I don't want to be here on the ground. The balloons drift away as I reach out. If only I could reach my greatest point. Solstiiice. Solstiice. Solstice. Solstiice. Solstiice. Solstice.
