We, Together

We, Together

A Poem by Andrea
"

A poem explaining how humans can be, but with the Lord, all of us together, we can form the greatest bond of them all. That is where we find paradise in righteousness.

"
We reach out to peers,
we seek out advice.
We drink from thy wine,
and we whisper of faith.
We take a look behind,
to swallow our tears.
We swallow thy agony,
of an everlasting fate.
We look at the stars,
in a magical way.
We try to demand,
and we try to forsake.
We sigh of our sins,
and look to Heaven's gate.
For we are just human,
waiting to meet our last days.
We are a greed of the rich,
but we have a home.
We are wealthy as can be,
for we are not alone.
We are followers of Christ,
we have no choice.
To look for the love,
that can make us rejoice.
We envy thy sisters and brothers,
we steal and we lie.
We argue with each other,
just to make each other cry.
We are selfish, yes indeed.
But God will carry us in our time of need.
We are bounded by chains,
we are held to the ground.
We can lift ourselves up,
and we can also be found.
We are all lost,
we are all unaware.
We have conquered a lot,
but we need to share.
A heart is a lot
when there is more than one.
We beat together,
we are the melody of a drum.
God is our father and God is our singer.
Love conquers all, when we form a bond.
because God is our true leader.
We hold the key to righteousness.
With Lord, WE are strong.

Thanks, I am glad you took the time to read it :D
This hit a soft spot for me, I am a Catholic and this poem reminds me of the story of the man walking on the beach when jesus carried the man in the hard times of his life.

Very well done.
