Insignificant

Insignificant

A Poem by Scarlett
"

This is how I felt when a number of significant events affecting my social life happened; rather than wallow, I decided to become artistic and creative with it. It's my most 'beautiful' work.

"
A star in the sky
A page in a library
A blade of grass in a field

Apainting in a museum
A spark in a fire
A stroke of paint on a masterpiece

A petal in a bouquet
A strand in a tapestry
A drop of rain in the ocean

A note in a symphony
A feather on an eagle
A single brick in a monument

A thorn on a rose
A word in an epic
A grain of sand on a beach

A penny in a bank
A stone on a mountain
A glazed pot on an ancient site

A heartbeat in a crowd
A crystal in a jewellers
A falling leaf in a woodland

A person in the world.

Author's Note

Scarlett
I'm very proud of this poem - it's different to most other things I've written, rather than self-pitying, it's more perceptive of the environment, and I put a lot of work into it. I put a specific and strict pattern to it, I'd like to see if anyone picks up on that.
