That Searing PainA Poem by Fire and SnowThis is a poem about one of the toughest times in my life... I thought I'd loose the guy I loved.. he was my best friend. The pain. The overwhelming pain. Cords cut loose, loose ends left hanging. That stupid girl, She broke his heart.
A boy goes home--no intention of leaving, to cut that final cord loose To end that searing pain He has no reason for living.
But there's one glimmer of hope One last shot, To save this boy from the end The last way to save him.
A friend long missed, Calls by chance, The glimmer of hope shines through, The light in his darkening mist.
Fearing for his life, She refused to let go, She refuses to give up, Knowing what will come with him hanging up.
He was her best friend, Her comfort through anything. Through good and bad He was the strong one of the two
Talking just to talk Praying for his life--she begins to wonder, Whatever would she do, if his life were to end.
The pain--that searing pain, Would simply be passed on to her, And if he was stronger and couldn't deal, How on Earth would she be able?
That terrifying time, Of not knowing what was to come, Still haunts her day and night, Though she swears she is fine.
No matter what may come, She would never want to loose him, But if something were to happen, How could she just go on?
She would not be able to handle that pain, the searing pain Without her friend, her comfort and her love, She simply could not go on. © 2008 Fire and Snow |
