Death in the School

Death in the School

A Poem by Jessica
"

This is for a senior from my school that died recently in a bad car accident. His name was Jonathan Hubbard.

"

Silence hangs in the air, thicker than fog

It's heavy on everyone's shoulders,

and melts as tears in our eyes

We walk through the hallways like zombies

Those tear-filled eyes glazed over with remorse

The school lost a valuable guy, a friend, and a son

In a tragic, intoxicated crash

We wont see him making baskets in gym

or laughing in the hall

But the presence is still there, in memories

Nobody will ever forget.

R.I.P J-Hubb. I heard a lot of great things about you, never had the pleasure of actually meeting you other than the occasional thanks for giving our volleyball back in gym. You'll always be remembered in the hearts of all the Bassett kidds<3

You have honoured him with your words. Good poem in its own right too.

Hello Jessica,
From my understanding, you, to this individual, were nothing-more-than another pupil floating through the hallways, filling an empty desk - yet you write such a Beautiful farewell in his honor...

Life doesn't get any better than this...

Never lose sight of the little things so many are blind to...
