Sweet Peace

Sweet Peace

A Poem by Jessica

Green grass scratches my knees

as I sink into its bed.

Little lavender lillies surround me

as I choose where to rest my head.

Large clouds of the purest white

cover the sky, so blue and so clear.

The wind chills my skin,

and takes all of my fear.

The trickle of a nearby waterfall sooths my mind.

Trees dance and sway.

I sigh and breathe gentley

as my pain is chased away.
