It Never Lasts

It Never Lasts

A Poem by Jessica

Giddy little smiles

Sweet nothings in your ear

Baby kisses on your cheeks

It wont last

Holding hands in the hall

Writing romantic cliches

Thinking "He's the one!"

It can't last

His tarnish will fade

You'll fight every night

and gain a bitter taste in your mouth

It never lasts.

Good imagery and detail. As the poem stands it's very good. But don't let the ideas of this poem take over your life. Eventually the right guy WILL come along.
