Dancing Fingers

Dancing Fingers

A Poem by Jessica

Fingers dancing
Mine curl around yours
For only a second
Craving to be in its cradle
Movements as subtle as
Waves against sand
Smooth as a rose petal
But rough as sand paper
This feels like home to me

I really enjoyed this. It was simple, but the words really stuck. Sometimes I think people can write romantically without directly saying "I Love You". This poem does exactly that. It's rhythmically fluid, gentle and enjoyable.

Thank you :)
