Summer Love

About my summer... And how perfect it was, dispite it's flaws

Sitting behind boxes
Talking in hushed tones
Biting my lip to keep from laughing
So my mother wouldn't hear
I looked forward to talking to my friend every night

Laughing about the younger days
You teasing about my height
Me telling you how tall you are
Knowing we were only kidding
You were like my brother

Down in my nanny's basment
Moving my head around to keep signal
Cousins coming around to tell me to get off
And teasing me about my 'boyfriend'
I liked you more than intindid

Hiding the phone when parents came in
Just so I wouldn't face the questions
Looking at the phone after they were gone
Sadly to see you'd hung up
I felt more attached

You prank called while Trey was there
We ended up talking most of the night
It struck me as a surprise when you called me 'hot' in front of him
I fought to keep my eyes open to hear your voice
I was falling for you

Watching the clock, waiting for the time to come
Talking for 5 minutes was better than nothing to me
I couldn't care less what we talked about
Just as long as I heard your voice in my ear
I fell for you

You saying that we could be considered as more than friends
Me blushing as you say the words to me
Listening to your random sweet words
Picking at me when I say something dumb
I was crazy for you

That week you were in Mexico
I felt so alone
It felt out of place not to talk to you
It was hell for me
I was fighting for you

I was sad the summer had to end
And I couldn't stay up talking to you
But we were in the same class
Chills ran up my spine
When I realized I loved you

This is all of my memories of this past summer. All so happy. But these only scratch the surface, there were so many more.
