Why Do You Do These Things?

Why Do You Do These Things?

A Poem by Jessica
"

About a guy... Duhh... *sighs* And how I always stupidly go back to him...

"
You say you don't care if I forgive you
But if that's true
Why did you apoligize?
Why did you tense
When I told you I didn't say I forgave you
And loosen up
When I said it was okay

You always look up at me
I'm not blind
I see you just fine
Your dark eyes scanning me
As if I were a barcode
Looking into my eyes
Reading my emotions like a book

You always seem to say the wrong thing
Then you turn and say the right things
Just to make me forgive you
I always fall for it
I can't stay mad
No matter how hard I try
Your presence makes me high

I don't know why I loved you
I may never figure that out
My friends told me how stupid I was for it
But I didn't care
I never listen
And I always get burned
By your unforgiving flame

Please don't criticize my similes/metaphors. I never really got those as good in English.
