How do I do it?
You hurt me
Loved me
Killed me
Healed my heart
Dumped me
Found me
All the same

When I was falling to pieces
You weren't there
When I was scared
You soothed me with your words
When I was careful
You made me clumsy
When I was dead
You brought me to life

How do you do it?
You make me this way
Whenever I'm over you
I'm dragged back under
By flattery and happy memories
That rule out the sorrow and pain
How do I do it?
I keep touching the fire
And I'm burned every time
