The Price of Freedom

The Price of Freedom

A Poem by FireFox9
"

Great poem I made up over a few hours. I think it's good but I could use other opinions.

"
What is my freedom truly worth
The freedom of another
Or worth money in the thousands
But for now I am a slave
Until I go free or until I die
My life is not in my own hands
But in the hands of another
Is freedom worth the price of a life
Or do I live as I do now and let others live
The choice is no longer mine
For I remain enslaved
My freedom lost till death

The cost of freedom is very high. Being a leader is very difficult. There is no wrong or right in some decisions. I wish our leaders seek peace over war. Thank you for the excellent poetry. I enjoy poetry that open the door to conversation.

Rather a depressing piece. Nice poetry. Being locked into a life one cannot get free from must be soul breaking.
Nice write.
