Dreams

 

To some, dreams are distant memories.

To some they are aspirations.

To others they are the hope of becoming something great.

 

We have dreams for a reason.

They are there to make you strive,

to make you stronger,

and to teach you about passion.

 

No life is complete without a reason to live.

To some a reason to live is a loved one.

To others its the chance to make a difference in the world.

 

Everyone has a reason.

Even if you dont see it, its there.

You may not know what it is.

But you'll find it when you're ready for it.

Dreams are necessary in a life. Some dreams may be simple as a trip or freedom from something holding us back. We are dead in spirit when hope and dreams are toss upon the road of life. I like your poem. A positive poem of dreams and hope.

I like this one a lot. If I may suggest, look at the last stanza with fresh eyes. Your poem is great and strong all the way through. The last stanza just felt a little 'flat' when held against everything else you wrote. Maybe just me though.

It's very accurate, humans thrive for a sense of belonging, and if they dont have it then they dont know what to do. Everyone eventually finds their meaning in life. Some earlier on, some later in life, but everyone has one :)

I have always said you are never too old to dream and never too young to die so you must always have a dream in mind so you have something to strive for and you never know when you won't be able to dream no more.
