The Pain in a Tear

The Pain in a Tear

A Poem by FireBornOmega
"

This shows how the girl I loved broke my heart and how it changed my thoughts and outlook of her.

"

You said that we were never meant to be

Absurd I was, I persisted for you to see

That I am worthy of one with such elegance

Woe to me for my denying arrogance

Now all I do is bleed tears in my room

You're ignorance becomes my doom

But it is then that I start to understand

I had willingly let you flood my strand

So I let my drenching tears turn to pain

And I watch with relief, a watered stain

Drench my sheets until they dry away

Time is a nurse that will liven up my day

Now you appeal to my absence in your life

Though it is harsh, you did bring me strife

I apologize, but cry until it tears you apart

And now you know the feeling in my heart

So real. Strange how we fight for the things we cannot have. Yet, when we can have them we turn elsewhere. Ah, humans, such petty creatures. :)
