Saving My Life

Saving My Life

A Poem by FireAngel42029

wild and crazy,

everything was hazy,

I went wild,

but just for a while,

until the day I knew,

I would have you,

you changed my life,

your new little life,

actually saved mine,

ready to die,

I now see what I almost gave up,

as I watch you grow up,

you have blossomed,

into a young woman,

you have saved me,

blessed me,

and given me the greatest gift of all,

you might think it is small,

but it will always be the grandest of them all,

you are the first one to have given me someone to love,

and a reason to live,

I will thank god everyday,

for the love he has allowed me to give this day,

and all the days to come

All of my kids have saved my life but this was written for my oldest daughter and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have been around long enough to have my other kids to love

I understand completely as my son was my first born and I feel he saved me too. I lost him in a tragic car accident last year and he is with me every day. I miss him so. THis is a very touching and beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing. Debileah
