How To Move On

How To Move On

A Poem by Fiosh
"

How to move on from the impact of love being broken.

"

Fret not, time ticks till you don’t.

Drag your feet, strangle Terra nova

Scream forward and do not cry backwards.

Love will crack, split and shatter

Like the twig beneath your pressing weight

From one, to two of the same ilk they will divide

On separate paths a new half is found

To mend what was once severed.

Pay homage to the previous part of you

Allow the remnants of familiar butterflies

To flutter freely inside once again,

While you let the new, replace the old.

Grow and stretch your limbs fiercely for

You are ahead of where you once settled.
