Sounds like a song...but then again you did say you do it in song form.
Anyway, great use of the first person, you really allowed the reader to put themselves in your position and feel what your feeling cuz you described it so well.
Great sense of loss over this poem, nicely written, quite the spur of the moment and if it wasn't then you've got some crazy skill...that you might have anyway and it could've just been boosted by recent events. Either way, I hope you find all the resolve you need.
