sonnet 3

sonnet 3

A Poem by Sane Betwixt

I dream of a love as intense as the sun,

So bright that it sets my tear ducts a’flowing.

Heat that would leave me bewildered and stunned,

Light to facilitate living and growing.

A love that would put it all in perspective,

And undo the bandages binding my eyes,

Freeing me from a life introspective,

Something completely un-compromised.

A love to unlock the gates of eternity,

Untangle this tapestry of tangled threads,

A love that would reconcile us with insanity,

And see that our souls are bountifully fed.

A love that transcends this unhappy world,

The undying love of an imaginary girl.

Is she wishing for some unattainable love? She surely sounds desperate for love. Great poem! I enjoyed reading it.
