make my life mean something.

make my life mean something.

A Poem by Caitlynn Cusick

am i a liar, am i a mistake,
why do people think getting to know me,
will make your soul mine to take..?

am i a fuckup, am i useless,
why does everyone ignore the fact,
that my mistakes are due to their abuse?

dont they know how much they hurt,
dont they know its their fault?

im not useless, im no mistake,
im perfect in my own messed up way.

i dont leave scars for no reason,
i leave them for me, to show that im human,
and that words hurt me.

when i die i want my scars to open eyes,
open eyes to their cruelty,
and how much their word hurt.

i want them to know they caused my death.
it might not be my physical one,
i dont know how ill go,
but i want to prove to them,
that they stole my soul,
in tiny bitesized chunks,
with every harsh word spoken.

i want to leave behind a small impression on this world.
it wont be big, itll be minute,
but in the end,
even that could be infinite.

i want my life to mean something,
more than meets the eye.

i want people to look at my life at a deeper level.
more than just words and experiences.
i want them to know that i couldve been the one to change the world.

Honestly, I still love reading the poems you write. And I am thinking about putting up that poem the we wrote together, but first I would like to talk to you on FB.. will you please just listen to me on there. By the way. I feel like I'm the one who caused you to write this actually. I don't want you to hurt, and I don't know why I went off on you exactly, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to work everything out. And please excuse me for saying this but AMAZING job on the poem mon ange tombe de l'obscurite.
