Drowning amidst flames.A Poem by SilentVersesI'm tumbling through confusion.
Defeated she falls;
down rabbit holes, and into the heart of cloudless blue: She is the sky. And her tears create the rain. Within her grasp, she tenderly staunches the pain of fallen souls. Picking up the thread, she tries to unravels the ocean. There is a storm brewing, and through her fury it births a pain. Disappointment in self lands sour upon a salty tongue. As her fingers dance the lightning- clapping rhythm of thunder- She runs from them. But no direction lies in her wind. When her child is risen from gloomy depths of dusk, she breathes life into the embers and blackness, becomes Illuminated. Her moon is silent solace, watching over as sleep comes and she wraps arms around herself to give dillusion of comfort. Peeling off the blanket sorrow feels to her, humid, and creates languid days where, even crickets see the importance of hush. The monotonous repetition of routine causes catatonic autopilot. Where not even sun, can heat marble statue; she is slipping away. Defeated, she is the sky and alone her burden weighs heavy upon shoulders of scorched flesh. Today the sky burst into flame as she watched the world drown. © 2011 SilentVersesReviews
