Twins

Twins

A Poem by Fin Buckley
"

Were we really that different after all?

"

We were sculpted from the same stone.

   My skin was marble;

             Smooth to the touch and just as resilient.

                        Your skin was marble, too;

    Dented and chipped,

   Brittle and cracked.

Though we were different,

   When I looked at my reflection

  I saw you staring back.

What changed you?

 What failed to change me?
