Flowered words

Flowered words

A Poem by Fin Buckley
"

I wish I had told you sooner.

"

Your back is all I see before me.

I reach out to you

But my hands decay,

White lilies descending to the floor

With a silent clatter.

        I open my mouth

But I can only cough up acacias,

 A plant of honey hue

Never tasted so bitter.
