You Belong With Me

“What did you ever see in her anyway?” I speak first. He looks at me for a long time; so long I think he’s not going to answer me.

“She used to be different, until she started hanging out with Tia and Karen.” He says.

“That’s interesting.” I say. “Want cake?”

“Sure, I’ll taste it, though, I’m not even sure it’s edible.” He says.

“You don’t know what you’re missing.” I say as I shove cake in his mouth.

“Wow, that’s good.” He says reaching for another piece.

“Oh, no, you have to earn that.” I say and grin. I get off the stool and start putting the dishes I used in the dishwasher. I turn around and before I can blink Aidan has appeared in front of me tilts me back almost to the floor and kisses me. I know this is super wrong, but at least I waited until after he left Marcie. I put my arms around his neck and he puts his around my waist. We stay like that for awhile.  I let go first.

“Does that get me cake?” He says getting more and sitting back down, I don’t stop him. I’m still thinking about how nice his lips are.

“Sure.” I say.

“This is awesome.” He says tearing the cake to pieces.

“Oh, will you forget about the cake?” I say, as I push the remainder of the cake away, sits on his lap and put my arms around his neck again.

“So, I was right when I said you like me?” He says hesitantly letting the cake go looking at it as if it were a true love he would never see again, eventually he puts his hands around my waist and runs his hands through my hair. I just love that.

“Of course you were.” I say and give him a long hard kiss. It doesn’t occur to me that we’re sitting in plain view and someone might be watching.

We both turn around at the sound of someone clearing their throat. It’s Laya. I slowly get off of Aidan’s lap, glancing back.

“We were wondering what was taking you two so long.” I guess we know now.” She says giggling.

“Well, who can you talk about, I just saw you take out Kane’s face with your tongue.” I say.

“You saw that?” She asks.

“Of course, just like she heard my phone conversation.” Aidan mumbles.

“Aww, you’re not still thinking about that, are you?” I ask and giggle.

“Oh, definitely not, why would I be, I’ve got other things on my mind now.” He says with a mischievous grin.

“Why, don’t you two come back to the front, your missed?” Laya says smiling and leaves.

 

 

I get up and follow her. She has her face connected with Kane’s again. They all turn around once they see us, but soon continue what they were doing. I sit on the third couch, the one, on the other side of Zane and Lana. Of course Aidan sits right beside me. I’m not the least bit mad though. He scoots close, puts his arm around me and gives me a slow sweet kiss that leaves my mind spinning.

“So, are you two together now?” Laya asks. Aidan answers before I can.

“No, we’re not; I’m still trying to convince her.” He says. My insides get all mushy and my stomach turns flips.

“Oh, nice, that’s the same with us.” She says turning her head toward Kane. “I’m waiting for him to dump Cruella’s descendant.” She says. We all laugh. Aidan asks me and the twins about B.M.I again and of course we happily say yes. After, that we talk and laugh awhile until it reaches about 10:30. After that we all go home.
