Believing enlightens your heart…

Lexi the doe signed up for the competition and tried out today,

To replace one of the three reindeer who retired from Santa’s sleigh.

Dasher, Dancer and Prancer suddenly decided to retire,

They had enough of pulling the sleigh, they simply lost their desire.

Lexi was one of sixty-eight reindeer they will put today to the test,

The only doe among the group, the bucks thought surely you jest.

The elves Holly and Faith gave Lexi an important thought to keep in mind,

To truly believe you have to have belief, without a doubt, that is all blind.

A belief so strong it will take you up to new levels and new heights,

Making you smarter, faster, stronger and wiser, having no quit in your fight.

I do believe, I do believe, Lexi assured them all that it’s true,

Then we are sure you will pass the test Lexi, we know we can count on you.

Joe Buck and Catherine Butterscotch brought the world the games for all to hear,

Through the Ice Box Cookie Radio Show broadcast from Snowdrift Field into your ear.

Everyone who was anyone came out to witness the games, and be a part of history,

Catherine interviewed Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, and even Pinocchio was here to see.

The Kringle Corporation put on a spectacular event, for the reindeer games to be played,

They hosted the three wise guy’s restaurant, the nine muses also the Bailey Brothers’ French café.

Harlequin’s Candy Lane was the place to be if you were truly hungry,

You can find anything you desire from sugar cookies, whoopee pies, even garlic bread and spaghetti.

Day one of the reindeer games took with it a quarter of the contestant field,

Lexi remained in the competition, truly believing was her one and only shield.

The second day quickly approached only thirty deer remained things were getting pretty tight,

Glynda the good witch was the judge this day, which included endurance, controlled and weighted flight.

Finally for the last test there were eight reindeer left to compete and try to win out,

Lexi suddenly doubted took her eyes off belief, what was she thinking, what was that all about.

She didn’t make the cut or the team, she was sad and oh so depressed,

What do I do now Holly and Faith, she asked, I didn’t believe or pass the test.

Lexi was told someone important wanted to speak to her, why I’m a loser is all that she said,

She was taken to Kringle Garden to meet with Mrs. Kringle, whose hair was snow white, and dressed in red.

Mrs. Kringle asked Lexi if she knew the difference between knowledge and wisdom once again,

Lexi realized why she failed, because knowledge is studying and wisdom is putting into practice what you gain.

She was asked to pull Mrs. Kringle’s sleigh if in fact that’s what she’d like to do,

Lexi accepted the offer to replace the deer who took ill, and do a great job of it too.

They introduced her to Heaven, who set Lexi up in the Kringle Korral with personal care,

To Lexi’s surprise her stall was right next door to Rudolph, it seemed oh so rare.

The elves prepared Lexi for her big day, they didn’t tell anyone she had survived,

As she pulled Mrs. Kringle’s sleigh, they made a grand entrance now all know she had arrived.

Santa made his selection of the deer that would replace the old that very afternoon,

The reindeer games had come to an end, three proud deer stood by Santa not a moment too soon.

As Lexi took off from Snowdrift Field pulling the sleigh, she tilted it in the sky,

Then made a final loop over the crowd so that Mrs. Kringle could wave goodbye.

So you see boys and girls what truly believing can do for you too,

If you do it like Lexi and focus, concentrate and stay true.

There’s really only one thing you can do, begin believing as a thought,

Then let it flow through your body and completely capture and enlighten your heart.
