Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by Fia Naturie

I sit here looking at the burnt orange sunset

Reflecting off the flat pond

I am no painter with a brush and easel

My thoughts paint the scene

My words color it

May it be dark or light or somewhere in between

Still, I look at the stillness

I envy the quiet in this moment of dusk

To see peace and never have it

Like tempting you with the sweetest delicacy

Only a centimeter away and still never allowed to have it

Even the birds are quiet in this reflective peace

Engulfing you in the serenity

I
   sit
       here
           looking
                     in
                       the
                          stillness

How ironic, that it's actual stillness, the nothingness; which tends to allow our creative side and thoughts to flow?

A thoughtful poem, which doesn't surprise me; having been written by you - a genuinely thoughtful and creative woman.

I'm pleased at your return to the site, darling Fia.
