Pen to paper
I spill what’s inside.
What do I have left?
It’s just my pride.
Did you pique my interest?
Yes, you have.
Do I want to continue this?
There are many pleasures to be had.

What am I looking for?
Is for you to seek.
To want to get to know.
Every aspect of me
I closed myself off.
I am tired of the train.
I am tired of the mindless banter.
More enjoyment standing in the rain.

Do not ask me if I’m okay.
In an automatic way you do
If you really want to know if I am okay
Like true friends do
Open up and reveal to me what’s lurking in your depth.
Other wise I am tired of wasting my breath.

I will end this off the way it began.
Telling you where I stand.
I am who I am meant to be.
I have shown you this in different degrees.
Who are you?
That is the question that is in play.
When you have the answer
You know where I stay.

A rather probing poem, seeking answers? Yearning to find out more, about someone of interest? Indeed, it has the feel of a "declaration" almost lol. More seriously though, has the writer been asking the right questions or specific enough questions; about whoever may have piqued her interest..? Whoever he is, he's one hell of a lucky guy.! The writer seems to like plain speaking, but only by being specific enough; will she find the answers which she seeks. I should know! He may well be a mutual friend. But, just between you and me - I can assure you that he's still interested in you. Honestly, he told me that you've inflamed his passion.
