Dream...A Poem by Fia Naturie
Dear Sorrow
You have guided me through a torrential storm At times it seemed like you wanted to let go But I beg for you to stay just a while longer Until I meet the black of exhausted sleep Dear Calm You are rarely around these days I have tried to seek you out I have left you messages I even thought of sending you smoke signals To get your attention But why bother? You will come when you're ready And not a second sooner! Dear Restraint Why do you hold me back Allowing them to say such horrible things? You held me back, my nails broke into my skin I tasted blood in my mouth Damn you for letting me bite my tongue Why did you do that? Next time just don't show up! Dear Friend I'm trembling You're holding my hand You love me without being in love Without expecting anything Yet accepting everything Dear Passion You've done something I never thought possible Do you know you have awakened me? And always - Love was supposed to come first Yet you made a point of makin' it last You pushed your way through And in that I will always crave you! Dear Intimacy I'm exposed You unwrap the plastic that seals me Allowing no one in, no one near You saw through it all and frayed The fabric of a well-knitted tapestry Of loneliness My Dearest Love Through all these little notes Through all these little sentiments That I went through There is no other one but you I can confess 1000 times And in 1000 times this will always hold true You are and always will be...
